TECHNICAL
REQUIREMENTS

All participants must adhere to strict technical and safety standards set by the IJWS Technical Committee to ensure fair play and maximum safety on the course.

General Eligibility

  • • Valid IJWS International Racing License
  • • Current medical clearance certificate
  • • Registered and verified hull serial numbers

Safety Equipment

  • • Coast Guard approved high-impact PFDs
  • • Full-face Snell/DOT rated racing helmets
  • • Rigid back protectors and reinforced gloves
  • • Mandatory cut-off lanyard attached to racer

Licensing

  • • Completion of the IJWS Safety Course
  • • Minimum of 3 sanctioned regional heats for Pro entry
  • • Signed liability waivers and insurance documentation
